The PO “UAPI” organizes educational and training events (conferences, symposia, master classes, webinars) to raise awareness of primary immunodeficiencies among healthcare professionals from various specialties.

The main platforms include:

A series of educational conferences within the J-Project (until 2022),
A series of clinical conferences within the “EDPID” project (Early Diagnosis of Primary Immunodeficiencies),
The annual scientific-practical conference “Infections and Immunity.”
Additionally, UAPI, in collaboration with the International Interdisciplinary Association of Medical Professionals, organizes professional immunology schools and junior immunology schools.

Today, the association is a leader in Ukraine in addressing autoinflammatory diseases, hereditary angioedema, and Kawasaki disease—focusing on raising awareness, ensuring patient access to treatment, and developing clinical guidelines and treatment protocols.

On its platforms, UAPI has created accessible resources for doctors:

“Immunoteka” – a database of information on immunity and congenital immune system diseases,
“Immunovideoteka” – a collection of recorded webinars on primary immunodeficiencies and other rare immune disorders.
The association actively supports immunization programs in Ukraine, promotes the introduction of new vaccines into the National Immunization Schedule, and advocates for vaccinations based on health conditions and professional indications, including in collaboration with WHO and UNICEF.

UAPI organizes roundtable discussions and scientific seminars on primary immunodeficiencies and immunoprophylaxis of infectious diseases. It also provides recommendations to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine regarding immunization programs and the management of rare immune diseases.

Among the association’s members are leading MOH experts in immunoprophylaxis of primary immunodeficiencies, immunology, and pediatric infectious diseases. UAPI is also a co-founder of the “Coalition for Vaccination” public union.

The association closely collaborates with patient organizations, including Rare Immune Diseases PO and Hereditary Angioedema PO, advocating for patient rights, improving access to treatment, and participating in social initiatives to raise awareness about primary immunodeficiencies.

UAPI builds strong partnerships with civil society organizations and socially responsible businesses whose activities align with the association’s mission. You can learn more about our partners at the following link.
