The Journal of Human Immunity

The Journal of Human Immunity is a new peer-reviewed journal established by The International Alliance for Primary Immunodeficiency Societies (IAPIDS) in partnership with Rockefeller University Press (RUP).

JHI will publish articles related to new insights into the physiology and pathology of human immunity through studies of genetic defects and their phenocopies, including research on leukocytes and other cells.

The journal’s thematic focus will be on congenital defects of the human immune system, covering conditions such as infections, autoimmunity, autoinflammation, malignancies, and allergies. Inborn errors of immunity include monogenic diseases with either complete (Mendelian inheritance) or incomplete (non-Mendelian) penetrance.

Human immunity is often insufficient against infectious agents and, at times, overreacts to harmless environmental components or the body’s own tissues. Genetic, immunological, and clinical studies of congenital immune system defects—where immune responses are either too weak or too strong—offer unprecedented opportunities to understand the physiology and pathology of the body’s defense mechanisms.

This will be the primary focus of The Journal of Human Immunity.

The first article by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Jean-Laurent Casanova, “HUMAN IMMUNITY”.
