Step by step, we are shaping a better future for clinical immunology in Ukraine!
The NGO “UAPI”, in collaboration with the The International Interdisciplinary Association of Medical Professionals (IIAMP) and the International European University, organized the Second Junior School of Immunology in Fastiv.
Twenty-five young professionals, selected through a competitive process from 15 regions of Ukraine, took part in a 5-day intensive training program. The curriculum focused on the fundamentals of immunology, clinical and laboratory diagnostics of inborn errors of immunity in both children and adults, clinical case discussions, and key aspects of immunoprophylaxis for infectious diseases.
The training was conducted in a warm, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere – both in lecture halls and outdoors, fostering knowledge exchange and professional growth.
The speakers of the School included Anastasiia Bondarenko, Yuriy Stepanovskiy, Fedir Lapiy, Anna Hilfanova, and Elena Sharikadze.
An invaluable resource for the Junior School of Immunology was our long-standing strategic partner – Biopharma Plasma. During the program, participants had the unique opportunity to visit the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Bila Tserkva. They explored the work of the plasma fractionation plant, which has the capacity to process up to 1 million units of donor plasma annually, as well as the company’s laboratories and its newly established Biology School for gifted youth.
Our young doctors also attended an inspiring and motivational lecture delivered by Biopharma Plasma CEO Kostiantyn Yefymenko, followed by an informal discussion where participants could introduce themselves and share their aspirations.
We sincerely thank Takeda for their support and FIRST ONE GROUP for their technical partnership.
A special note of gratitude goes to Olga Khioare, Head of the Immunology Division at Biopharma Plasma, for her exceptional contribution and dedication.
