- Professor Liudmyla Yuriyivna Chernyshova has made a significant contribution to the development of pediatric immunology in Ukraine. She is the founder of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Immunology at the P. L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (NMAPE), which is now known as the P. L. Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine (NUHU).
- As the Chief Pediatric Immunologist of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Professor Chernyshova heads the All-Ukrainian Association of Pediatric Immunology and is the founder of the Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Immunology Center at Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 1.
- She initiated the creation of the patient organization “Rare Immune Diseases” (RID) and organizes the annual All-Ukrainian Conference with international participation, “Issues of Immunology in Pediatrics.” Thanks to her efforts, the Ukrainian community of pediatric immunologists has joined the Central and Eastern European project “J Project.”
- Her activities have had a significant impact on the development of pediatric immunology in Ukraine, contributing to the improvement of the diagnosis and treatment of immune diseases in children.
